1) For Virginia Tech, will the transfer portal be helpful or hurtful? – Stork

Chris Coleman: Long term, I expect the transfer portal will prove to be neutral for Virginia Tech.  There will be years where it’s a negative, and years where it’s a positive, but it overall it will be neutral, in my opinion.

I think we all jumped the gun a little bit on the whole transfer portal thing back in January.  We had a good reason to do so, because none of us had experienced it before.  But looking back, now that Deshawn McClease and Hendon Hooker have withdrawn from the portal, it just wasn’t all that big of a deal.
