1) Not sure if it’s a real issue or not, but I think Bud Foster was moved to upstairs towards the end of the season per doctor’s order. Does it have anything to do with the defense’s performance this year? How about next season? Thanks! – 134625Hokie

Chris Coleman: Yes, Bud moved upstairs late in the season, and the official reason was doctor’s orders. However, he was still up there on December 31, well over a month after he moved up to the booth. I saw him when I was walking into Cassell Coliseum on Signing Day (December 19), and he was talking to somebody, and he seemed fine. He didn’t seem sick. If there’s a health issue, it isn’t something like a cold or anything like that.

Maybe that was what drove him up to the booth in the first place, but I don’t think that’s what kept him there. Foster said he was cleared to return to the field for the Marshall game, but he chose not to, because being in the booth does help him see things. Let’s think about that statement a little bit deeper.
