As the offers have continued to mount, Highland Springs (Va.) four-star safety Malcolm Greene has altered his approach a bit. That’s helped allow him to see two schools now standing out a bit from the rest, though that doesn’t necessarily make them favorites.           

Greene, Rivals.com’s No. 16 safety and No. 5 player in Virginia for 2020, counts 21 offers, most recently from Michigan State, NC State, Florida and Penn State. He has a pair of upcoming visits set to those aforementioned standouts that could shape how his recruitment plays out, but for now, Greene still considers himself wide open.           

“(All the offers) made me look for a school where a coaching staff treats the recruits, players and visitors like family,” he said. “At first, I was looking where players are comfortable and everyone is having a good time. Now, I’m looking at relationships, how the coaches and everyone involved with the program are with each other.”
