There was just something about the weather.  It always has been for Brion Murray. He liked so many aspects about it, from his childhood. And it picked up this summer and fall, when he was at Coffeyville C.C. (Kan.), in the middle of Tornado Alley.           

“We didn’t see one while we were out there, but we had a lot of warnings,” Murray said. “They were around, but we always had to evacuate to a church. I always was the last one walking in, because I was standing outside looking. They had to yell at me to get inside. I walked slow, trying to see where it was at. It was pouring down rain and they’d be yelling at me, ‘Brion, get inside!’ I’m like, ‘Man, it’s ok. It’s going to be ok.’”           

And just like his fascination with storms, there was just something about how he felt about Virginia Tech. It began during his childhood, when he would watch what he called his ‘dream school.’
