  1. Suggest getting rid of those clumsy, in-the-way mike booms. Also Chris’ mike volume was lower than the others. Made it hard to hear him.

  2. Great podcast again guys. In regards to the greatest catch I ever saw I like to factor in the importance of the catch, time of game, and difficulty. Therefor the greatest catch i ever saw was the fourth down, time expiring, fingertip, endzone, game winning, TOUCHDOWN CATH BY DANNY COALE.

  3. Hot Rod Lincoln goes way back before Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airman, Classic old rockabilly tune. Danny Gatton and the Fat Boys and later Bill Kirchen covered it in the DC area 60s and 70s.

Getting old when I hear people say, “Never heard it” (sigh)

    1. 1959 or 60 was the Original by Charlie Ryan. I had/have it on some old ‘hits of the 50’s’ album.

  4. Excellent discussion about how the loss of Trevon Hill affected later games, but I think it was a bigger problem against Georgia Tech. Remember that they only ran about 6 different plays, and it seemed like half of them were quarterback sweeps to the left – right at Hill’s replacement. If Hill can stop that play enough to force GT to call more risky plays, maybe the game turns out differently.
