Here’s this week’s installment of “The Moment,” with pictures of the game against Notre Dame.
This week brings us three pictures from Jon Fleming and one from Ivan Morozov.
These photos are higher-res than what we normally post. These shots are all 2400 x 1600. Click on each photo to view it in its full resolution.
We begin with a cool fisheye shot of the unveiling of the new Frank Beamer monument on Beamer Way. You can tell it’s the smartphone era, and if you were there, you can probably pick yourself out.
Next, a picture that speaks for itself … Ben Hilgart, Virginia Tech’s director of strength and conditioning, leads a group of players down the tunnel towards Lane Stadium.
We like this next pic from Ivan Morozov, showing Damon Hazelton’s touchdown reception right before the half. For the most part, it’s a standard action shot, but we love Athletic Director Whit Babcock’s celebration in the background, and the referee eyeballing the line to see if Hazelton was over it.
Next, a shot of Frank Beamer being honored for entry into the College Football Hall of Fame. We love this pic because Frank is looking at the camera, and you can see the detail on the plaque he’s holding.
As usual – outstanding.
