Not that schools didn’t already know about Temple (TX) 2020 wide receiver Quentin Johnston, but his first offer was almost by chance.

In the span of two weeks, Johnston has added two more offers and received increased interest from another school. It’s not enough to speed up his recruitment, but it is enough to at least give him a reason to look more in-depth at the schools he now has the option to attend.

“I think the first thing coaches see, they see my frame,” Johnston said. “I’m a taller receiver, at 6-4, and my stride, I have a very long, fast stride. It doesn’t look like I’m running fast, but I am. Being so tall, it’s hard to get my feet down as quick as I should, but I’ve improved on that. The thing I need to work on is my routes. Sometimes, I don’t make the best decision. I try to think ahead before stuff happens. If I have a wheel route, I try to read the linebacker before he comes down. I just try to make my choice quick.”
