Four-star offensive lineman Bryan Hudson committed to Virginia Tech on Tuesday, bolstering the Hokies’ Class of 2019.
Hudson is a 6-foot-4, 292-pound prospect out of Scott County High School in Georgetown, Ky. He owns 20 reported scholarship offers, almost exclusively from Power 5 programs. Alabama, Florida, LSU, Notre Dame and Ohio State are among Hudson’s offers.
Sponsored by the Hokie Club’s Drive for 25: The “Drive for 25” initiative seeks to increase membership in the Hokie Club to 25,000 members in order to provide student-athletes with scholarships for a Virginia Tech education, as well as the resources necessary to compete athletically at the highest levels. Rivals: Four-star, No. 25 offensive tackle, No. 242 overall
Hudson is the fifth member of Virginia Tech’s Class of 2019 and is the second offensive lineman to join the group. Hudson will sign with Jesse Hanson, another prospect with several Power 5 offers.
Here’s Hudson’s commitment video.
Thank you to everyone who has helped me with this process. I'm truly humbled by the faith shown in me by the 24 schools that have offered. I'm thankful to my parents, my coaches, teammates, family & friends. I've found a HOME where I will further my football and track career… pic.twitter.com/4bt5yGPAsU

That is a big deal in my book. Watching Plantin hold his own last year was nice.
I believe the young olinemen look good from an offer standpoint. never been able to say that in the past bu here and there.
Great news! Welcome to the Hokie family.
we would think
that Devyn Ford would like the idea
of 4* Mr. Hudson’s (6-4/292) and 3* Mr. Jesse Hanson’s, (6-4/290) verbals
since they would be nice road-graders to spring him for some large gallops to the endzone.
Go Hokies!
Nice thought, but RBs pretty well always contribute before OL. He should be looking at the 2016 OL class.
Welcome Mr. Hudson! This is excellent news. Looks like a quiet, confident young man.
Awesome! Welcome to the HokieNation, Bryan! Love the classy commit vid especially the “discus” reveal.
I love the way this video announced Bryan’s commitment, especially since I am a 1970 VPI
alumni and current Masters (M70) discus thrower. You can throw the discus forever! My father retired as a discus thrower two years ago when he was 93.
Groovy.
V Vice serving Crow…long line of Hokie Fans ….Thank You Coach Vice.. Been in your camp from Day One..
Really glad to get him! Have to ask – what shirt is he wearing in the pic? is that Lville? Cheeky, I like it!
I think the kid’s high school colors are black and red.
Correct.
And also the mascot is a cardinal, apparently.
Great catch – an OFFENSIVE LINEMAN!!!!! Wow!!! Tech is really getting serious with needing linemen and this guy is most impressive! Great job coaches – keep up the good work – make us all proud again!!!!
patience is a virtue.
there is no substitute for hard work.
go VV!
Go Hokies!
I am so impressed by our coaching staff and their ability to recruit such outstanding student atheletes.
Great a 2nd O-lineman in the 2019 class. Are they aiming for 4 this year: if so this is a great start.
The line seems like it is just going to get better. Good protection coming down the road; RBs and QBs should be excited too.
GO HOKIES!!!
Have a great Spring Game.
Cool commitment video – unique and classy.
+7
Thanks for pointing that out. I might have missed it.
Music to Hokies’ ears!
Ok, this Vice guy is starting to grow on me. Keep ’em coming Vance, and keep coaching ’em up.
Even if he does look a little like Tyrion Lannister.
Always good to have a guy who knows how to spell BrYan the right way. 🙂
