Virginia Tech recruiting is on a roll, earning two commitments from 2019 prospects since National Signing Day. The second of those commitments is athlete Mike Sainristil from Pope John XXIII High School in Everett, MA.

Sainristil is a 5-foot-10, 175-pound rising senior. He’s a wide receiver/cornerback prospect, listed as an athlete by TechSideline.com. He’s a 3-star (per 247Sports.com) with 12 reported scholarship offers. His most notable offers are from North Carolina, Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana.

Virginia Tech now holds four commitments in the Class of 2019. The Hokies currently have Sainristil, Elijah Bowick, Jahad Carter and Jesse Hanson in their ’19 class, with Hanson committing yesterday.

  1. Obviously this young man has prayed about his decision and I believe he will stick with his decision. Seems to be a person of faith and I have faith in his commitment to Tech. Welcome to the Hokie Nation!!!

  2. Lets see if this stands over the next year. In an October article the young man talked about an apparent unofficial visit to Ped, I mean Penn State and how much he liked it and that the people there treated him really well. PSU has not (yet) offered.
