In 2014, 3-star offensive lineman Luke Tenuta was on hand at Lane Stadium to cheer the visitors. His father, Jon Tenuta, was then the defensive coordinator at Virginia.
Saturday, the younger Tenuta was on the home side as Virginia Tech hosted Clemson. This time, Tenuta was on an unofficial visit as a recruit. It was a trip that might have kept the Hokies in a strong position among his top four, as a decision looms next month.
“It was a great visit,” Tenuta said. “It was really cool to see all the stuff happening with GameDay. There was a lot of people there. It was awesome, with the parachute guys and talking to the coaches. It was really fun and my mom and I had a good time.
That was despite his friendly reminder of the night before. Tenuta and Western Albemarle High School lost to Louisa County High School last Friday.
