College Gameday is coming back to Blacksburg.

ESPN announced on Saturday night that College Gameday, the popular, weekly pre-game college football show is coming back to Blacksburg for the first time since 2007. No. 13 Virginia Tech is slated to play No. 2 Clemson at 8 p.m. on Saturday.

College Gameday’s last appearance at Virginia Tech was in 2007, when the Hokies played their first football game since the tragic April 16 shootings. Gameday did attend Virginia Tech’s game vs. Tennessee at Bristol Motor Speedway in 2016, but hasn’t been to Blacksburg since 2007.

Gameday, which airs each Saturday morning, can be seen on ESPN on Sept. 30, starting at 9 a.m.

  1. All Hokie fans must live in this moment. Start preparing today by resting your vocal cords. No stadium has a better chance of giving a talented team some major issues. Perhaps it’s time for an article on the most talented teams to visit Lane Stadium since 1993 (Miami, FSU, Ohio State, and Clemson). Is this Saturday going to be the rebirth of the “terror dome?” let’s Go!

  2. Breaking news! ESPN acknowledges existence of the Hokie. Rumors of it’s extinction greatly exaggerated (studies conducted by UVA scientists for many years disputed.)
