Maybe Dorman (SC) three-star offensive tackle Jordan McFadden couldn’t wait for the fireworks to begin. Early in the evening of July 4, he got his own going.
McFadden committed to Virginia Tech that night, which gave the Hokies one of their most sought-after offensive line targets. He chose Virginia Tech over Duke. McFadden also holds offers from UNC, NC State, Louisville, and a slew of others, 16 offers in all.
The decision took a few factors into consideration. And now, McFadden said he’s ready to fill a big role that the Hokies have in mind for him. It also came down to how they handled his recruitment.
“I liked just how well the coaches treated me throughout,” McFadden said. “They’ve talked to me since I was in tenth grade and never stopped communicating. The games, the stadium, it’s just a great place to be.”
