Virginia Tech One of Three Schools Recruiting Rafferty the Hardest

This spring, Gonzaga (DC) three-star offensive tackle Aidan Rafferty took a number of visits. It helped him make a bit more sense of his now 19 offers, after Michigan State joined last week.

Rafferty took plenty out of the stops at Virginia Tech, Virginia, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Boston College, Harvard, NC State and Duke, most of which took place during his spring break. Though Rafferty said he hasn’t narrowed his focus, he admits that he’s been in contact with three schools a bit more than others.

Still, Rafferty, Rivals.com’s No. 30 offensive tackle and No. 3 player in Washington, DC, hasn’t lost sight of what he’s looking for as he tries to narrow his list even further.

“I really look at the academics at the school, the coaches and the players and the program in general,” he said. “I’m thinking business for a major, but I don’t know yet. I was glad I got to go on the visits to get a feel for the schools. Meeting coaches and players was valuable. I got to see a lot in person about each school.”
