Virginia Tech needed a bit of a momentum boost on the recruiting trail and they got one on Thursday night with the commitment of Jalen Holston.

Holston, a running back from Stockbridge, GA., was the top remaining target for the Hokies at running back for the Class of 2017. Holston is rated as a 3-star back by the 247Sports Composite rating. Holston is 5-foot-11, 200-pounds.
Virginia Tech now has two running backs committed for the ’17 class. Holston joins Orlando Jones, who will be a preferred walk-on for the Hokies next season.

Fantastic decision JH! I have a young cousin that lives 30 minutes south of me and is Jalen’s neighbor. He attends highschool with Jalen. I’ve been asking about Holston since September. My little cousin says Tech is getting the real deal. I also hear from the same source that his team mate Kelton Dawson (6-2 Defensive End) is also very good…and that Tech needs to scoop up both players I hear.
