Jalen Holston is still one of Virginia Tech’s top targets for the Class of 2017, and the coaching staff’s constant contact with him has made it clear.

“It’s probably an everyday thing,” Holston said. “They’re like family to me.”

Holston, a 5-foot-11, 200-pound running back from Stockbridge, GA, has been one of Virginia Tech’s top targets since his recruitment started. Holston was pushed to the front of the line, especially after the Hokies missed on 5-star Khalan Laborn.

Despite being rated as a 3-star prospect, there are still plenty of notable schools interested in Holston. He has 28 reported scholarship offers, and many of them are still heavily pursuing him. Holston said that Georgia Tech, Louisville, South Carolina and North Carolina have offered and have been recruiting him hard, while Syracuse, Missouri and Georgia have been in touch with him.
