The Hokies will play in the ACC Tournament on Wednesday night, as they do every year. However, for the first time since 2011, their ACC Tournament game(s) will actually mean something. Tech is fighting for postseason positioning, and however remote their chances are of an NCAA Tournament bid, that is still a goal that is achievable with three more wins and a good deal of luck. But the most important thing this year is that Virginia Tech will most likely play in a postseason basketball tournament. On January 1, nobody would have guessed that.
