Virginia Tech Up Next For Texas CB Nygel King

Utah is in strong position with Klein Oak (Spring, TX) cornerback Nygel King, who was in Salt Lake City this past weekend on an official visit. Virginia Tech, though, will get a chance to impress the 6’2”, 175-pound senior this weekend.

“Utah is a great school,” King said. “I loved everything it stood for and how it was. I felt really good about it. I’m not saying I’m going to commit there… I just had a good time. I’m waiting for this Virginia Tech visit and then we’ll see what happens.”

Virginia Tech may be the final official visit King makes before he makes his final college choice. The standout prospect, a Houston commit before he reopened his recruitment last month, is leaving open the possibility of visiting an SEC school the final weekend before National Signing Day on February 3.

“This week is a really busy week. I just made the visit to Utah and the coaches from there said they are going to come see me. Arkansas is coming. Illinois I think is coming. I think maybe Texas State. I’m going to have in-home visits with Utah and Arkansas, and then I have my official visit at Virginia Tech this weekend,” King said, updating his recruiting schedule for this week.
