Barring a change of heart, the retirement of head coach Frank Beamer and any subsequent assistant coaching departures will not impact Khalil Ladler’s decision to attend Virginia Tech.

“It doesn’t affect me really,” Ladler said in an interview this Monday night. “I’m 100-percent committed [to Virginia Tech].”

Coach Beamer is “a great coach,” Ladler added. “He has done great things for Virginia Tech.”

Ladler, a senior cornerback recruit out of IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL), verbally committed to Virginia Tech on October 4, 2015. He plans on graduating high school on December 19th and enrolling at Tech in January of 2016. Ladler is taking two online courses in addition to his regular class load at IMG in order to accomplish this goal.
