Putting together a scouting report for Yosuah Nijman is extremely difficult simply because I don’t know what position he’s going to end up playing in college. Sure, we all know he’s going to start off on the defensive line this spring. Will he stay there long-term? I really have no idea.

Another reason Nijman is difficult to scout for Tech’s system is because he does not fit the mold of a typical VT end or tackle. He enrolled in January and checked in at 6-7, 277, and he hadn’t even worked out with Mike Gentry yet. You can bet this guy is going to be 300 pounds or more before his career is over, and perhaps even sooner than we think. Unless he’s a freak of nature in the same mold as DeAngelo Hall, Michael Vick or David Wilson, that means he most likely will not retain the quickness to play defensive end for the Hokies.
