Edmunds Excited To Join Brothers At VT

In the past, Virginia Tech football has been successful in recruiting the younger brothers of current and former players. As of yet the Hokies have not had three brothers on the team at the same time, but barring injury that will change in the 2015 season.

Tremaine Edmunds, a rising senior at Dan River High School (Ringgold, VA), announced last night that he has accepted a football scholarship offer from Virginia Tech. The 6’4”, 225-pound linebacker prospect will sign a letter of intent with the Hokies next February with the intention of enrolling in school next summer. His oldest brother, Trey, will be a junior running back in the 2015 season, and older brother Terrell with either be a red-shirt freshman or sophomore defensive back for the Hokies in 2015.

“It means a lot,” Tremaine said of the opportunity to play alongside Trey and Terrell again. “Ever since we were young we have always played on the same team, from little league up to high school.”

Trey, Terrell, and the rest of the immediate Edmunds family were on hand at WSLS Channel 10 Roanoke/Lynchburg last night to support Tremaine, who announced his commitment live on the six o’clock news.
