Fullwood Decision Coming Next Week

In one week and one day’s time, Good Counsel (Olney, MD) defensive end prospect Darius Fullwood will announce his college decision. The 6’4”, 235-pound rising senior, fresh off a trip to Ohio State, has no college visits remaining from now until his planned announcement. The June 28 announcement is expected to take place between 5 and 6 pm at Darius’ house, in front of friends and family.

Fullwood lists “Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Duke, Maryland, Kentucky and Rutgers” as the schools he is considering. Ohio State, though, may not have a spot available at this point.

“Ohio State was a good visit,” Fullwood said. “They said they’d let me know on Sunday where I stand. They are evaluating me and a few others. They took a commitment from another defensive end and now they only have one more spot. They are going to let me and the other defensive ends they are considering know where we stand on Sunday.”

Asked if he was leaning in any one particular direction, Fullwood said: “Not yet. I think I will be thinking about it every day. I’m going to talk with my family. It’s a really hard decision. A lot of these schools have been recruiting me for a long time.”
