Briar Woods (Ashburn, VA) product Mark Birmingham was one of the more impressive performers during the recent Nike Football Training Camp at Centreville High School (Clifton, VA). The 6’3”, 225-pound rising junior starts at tight end and defensive end for the Falcons, but at the April 26 event his offensive talents were on full display.
Birmingham moved well, ran good routes and showed good hands at the NFTC. He was pleased with play as well as the overall experience.
“Number one thing when I came out there was just to make sure I learned. I wanted to learn a lot, to make sure I’m getting better as I prepare for my junior year. This was a great, great camp. Nike does a great job,” Birmingham said following NFTC.
Six schools – UNC, UVa, Virginia Tech, ODU, Charlotte and JMU – have offered Birmingham, who is taking his recruiting success in stride.
