Checking In With Mook Reynolds

Mook Reynolds has been a frequent visitor to Blacksburg this year. The Northern Guilford (Greensboro, N.C.) defensive back first attended Tech’s Junior Day on February 8, which is of course is also the day he verbally committed to the Hokies. Reynolds, a rising senior, returned to Tech on his birthday in March and then again this past Saturday for Virginia Tech’s Spring Game.

“It was really cool getting to see the team live in action and seeing Coach Gray and the defensive backs,” Reynolds said of his latest trip to Virginia Tech. “It was good seeing how the coaches interact with the players. I saw the crowd. They got pumped up to ‘Enter Sandman.’”

Two parts of last Saturday’s experience really stand out to Reynolds.

“Before we went out on the field, the coaches had some of the top recruits in and they had our jerseys on mannequins. That was cool. Being down on the field when the team was warming up, seeing how nice it looks with the crowd … that was great, too,” Reynolds said.
