Will Stewart wrote an article called “Patience” following the first open scrimmage of the spring. Recalling that article after watching Saturday’s Spring Game really makes it sink in that Virginia Tech’s offense is in full rebuilding mode. There is no overnight fix.

Perspective

I heard a lot of comments about this fall’s Alabama game on Saturday, and I even made a few in jest myself. There’s one important thing to remember about this season, however. 2013 is not about Alabama. 2013 is about Virginia Tech getting better. It’s about whether or not they beat Georgia Tech, UNC, Pitt and UVA, not whether or not they beat the Crimson Tide.

This is college football, where anything can happen. Can Virginia Tech win the Alabama game? Yes, they can. Win or lose, that game is not going to make or break the season.
