Spring Game Visitors To Include Brown, Reavis

Though the game itself was cancelled due to weather, five prospects, including 4-star quarterback Bucky Hodges, verbally committed to Virginia Tech while in Blacksburg for the 2012 Spring Game.  This year’s event probably won’t produce the same number of commitments, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Hokies land a commitment or two.

Tech enters the weekend boasting five verbal commitments in the class of 2014.  Hillside (Durham, N.C.) defensive back Kalen McCain , who committed on April 7, and Massaponax (Fredericksburg, VA) defensive end Vinny Mihota both have indicated that they plan to be in Lane Stadium tomorrow, although McCain told TechSideline earlier this week that transportation issues may keep him from making the trip.

Prominent targets from the class of 2014 will be at Lane tomorrow, but 5-star defensive end Da’Shawn Hand (Woodbridge H.S. in VA) and 4-star quarterback Jacob Park (Stratford H.S. in Goose Creek, S.C.) — two of Tech’s top overall targets in the class — are not expected to attend.  We will let you know if anything changes with these prospects, and as we get more confirmations we’ll be sure to let you know those names as well.  Below is a list of those prospects we have confirmed so far.

Noah Brown , WR, Pope John XXIII (Sparta, N.J.)
