VT In Hot Pursuit Of WR Noah Brown

Noah Brown , a rising senior at Pope John XXIII in Sparta, New Jersey, has scored nine major FBS scholarship offers.  Boston College, Rutgers, and Temple came within a 2-day span last summer (BC was the first to offer, followed quickly by Temple later the same day), and since then the 6’2″, 212-pound prospect has added Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Nebraska, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin and West Virginia to his offer list.

“It feels good,” Brown said of his recruiting success.  “I put in a lot of hard work in the offseason.  It definitely feels good for it to pay off.”

Brown, who will be a 4-year member of the varsity squad, didn’t see much action in either of his first two seasons.  As a freshman, the talented athlete was primarily a back-up running back.  He did, however, get the starting nod at free safety during Pope John’s state playoff run.

“It was definitely exciting,” Brown said of the opportunity to start as a freshman during the state playoffs.  “It was a lot to handle as a freshman, but I believe I handled it well.”
