Richmond (VA) Sophomore CB Boasts Six Offers

Class of 2014 recruiting is the primary focus of major college coaches right now, but some class of 2015 prospects are getting in on the action as well.  St. Christopher’s (Richmond, VA) rising junior cornerback Garrett Taylor has seen his stock rise in recent weeks and months, and right now the 6’1″, 187-pound prospect has been verbally offered by six major FBS programs.

“So far I have (scholarship offers from) Tennessee, Ole Miss, Kentucky, UNC, VT, and UVA,” Taylor wrote in a Facebook interview.

As just a sophomore in high school, Taylor is realizing a dream of being a major college recruit.

“I will be the first major college football player in my family,” Taylor wrote.  “It feels really good because I have always told my dad and older brother that playing college football was something I was going to do.  Having that be my dream and seeing it come true and unfold in front of my eyes along with my parents and my brother and sister is amazing.”
