The University of Tennessee verbally offered a scholarship to Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA) junior offensive lineman Coleman Thomas this past weekend. Heading into the weekend, the 6’5″, 295-pound prospect boasted offers from Maryland, Pittsburgh, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia.

He visited Tennessee this past weekend and has taken visits to all of the schools that have offered. Thomas plans to attend both of Virginia Tech’s upcoming junior days, March 23 and April 6, and he is anxious to get to know Tech’s new offensive line coach.
“I haven’t met Coach (Jeff) Grimes yet. He, Coach Beamer, and Coach Wiles were coming to one of our [basketball] games and it was cancelled due to snow. So, I’m looking forward to meeting him and watching practice on the 6th,” Thomas wrote in a Facebook message.
