Hodges Ready For VT

His stellar high school football career complete, Salem (Virginia Beach, VA) senior Bucky Hodges took a few days last week to explore his future school, Virginia Tech.  The 6’6″, 230-pound quarterback, one of Tech’s most prized recruits in the class of 2013, watched the team walk through on Friday and then watched the Hokies defeat Virginia, 17-14, on Saturday.

Hodges started for the SunDevils varsity squad since the end of his freshman year.  He guided the SunDevils to 29 wins in three full seasons as the starter, including a 21-4 record the past two years.  The Salem standout has already reached the necessary levels academically to gain admission to Tech, where he plans to enroll next summer.  Barring attrition, Hodges will be one of six scholarship quarterbacks on Tech’s roster next season:  Logan Thomas (Sr.), Mark Leal (Jr.), Trey Gresh (Jr.), Brenden Motley (R.Fr.), Hodges (Fr.), Carlis Parker (Fr.).
