Scrimmage #2: Tough Decisions Ahead

Scrimmage #2 is in the books.  The coaching staff will decide who will and will not redshirt, set their two-deep, and then the Hokies will dive head first into preparation for Georgia Tech.

As expected, the defense responded after playing not-so-well on Saturday.  They were much better on Wednesday.  Yet there was still enough offense on display (464 yards on 99 plays) to make us feel good about that unit as well.

I’m very impressed with Trey Edmunds .  In two scrimmages, he has amassed 102 yards on 20 carries.  He’s big, he’s fast, and he’s a load to bring down.  He got 12 carries in Wednesday’s scrimmage, including a few with the #2 offense.  The coaches clearly wanted to take a long look at Edmunds before deciding whether or not to redshirt him.  They’ve got a few things to consider:
