David Prince ‘s combination of quickness and speed drew scholarship offers from several major FBS programs, including Virginia Tech. The Tech-bound rising senior hopes the overall quickness and speed of this year’s Patrick Henry (Roanoke, VA) varsity squad will be tough for opposing teams to handle.
“This year we have a lot of speed. This year we will kill some people with our speed,” Prince said. “My first goal is to get our team to the playoffs. I have personal goals, but I want to make sure we do well as a team first.”
As the Patriots starting signal caller for the past two seasons, Prince has produced on the ground and through the air. He totaled approximately 1,600 yards of offense last season, including 1,000 yards passing and 600 rushing. Patrick Henry finished with a 7-3 overall record.
Prince added an inch of height and almost 10 pounds of muscle this offseason.
