Saturday, Virginia Tech held a one-day camp for recruits.  Current commits and current targets were on-hand, and many 2014 prospects were there as well.

TSL was there to snap photos, take some videos, and to observe.  Horne hit you with his report yesterday, and we posted a photo gallery this morning.  These are my random thoughts on individual players at the camp.  Later this afternoon we’ll complete our coverage with some video of Tech targets and commits.

Mike Jones Had an Impressive Day

Mike Jones is about 5-9, 170, and nobody had ever heard of him before Saturday’s camp at Virginia Tech.  I sure hadn’t, and I’m betting you hadn’t either.  He had drawn recruiting interest from Maryland, Rutgers, Boston College, Vandy, and some others, but the Baltimore product has no scholarship offers.
