  1. Mr . Coleman –
You opened the door just a bit for discussion of basketball. That being the case, and events of the day up in Illinois, would it not be SMART for VT to hire a future coach from within the state of Virginia who has recruiting ties to the state, plays a unique style of pressing defense (Havoc), and is young enough to relate to the players much like Coach Shane can do for football? Brother T and I think the time is right, as in right now, but we can wait a little bit longer

It’s time to pay the man, and build a solid program with longevity and commitment from a younger coach who would like to join the ACC conference. When it’s time for Coach Greenberg to go, let’s hope the administration at VT makes a SMART choice for his replacement.

Best to you and Hokie Nation

    1. Shaka isn’t coming to Virginia Tech. If he turned down $3 million at Illinois, a school that played for the National Title about 10 years ago, he’s not coming to Virginia Tech. He’s being very selective.
