Thomas Dale (Chester, VA) speedster DJ Reid recently scored an offer from the Sunshine State, adding to an offer list that previously included Virginia and Virginia Tech.

“A [South Florida] coach contacted me.  I gave him a call, and at the end of the conversation he told me they were offering me a full scholarship.  It was a little overwhelming,” said Reid, a 6’0″, 190-pound junior.

“To tell the truth, for them to pick somebody up North, for them to be picking me, I must be doing pretty well.  But I still need to keep working.”

East Carolina, Michigan, North Carolina and Ohio State are also expressing interest in Thomas Dale’s running back/safety.  UNC had actually offered under the previous staff, but new head coach Larry Fedora pulled the scholarship.  The Tar Heels are still in pursuit of Reid, but an offer is not currently in place.
