Warhill OL Scores Two Big Offers

Warhill (Williamsburg, VA) junior offensive tackle Parker Osterloh was offered by in-state FCS power James Madison last summer.  Last week, Virginia Tech became the first major FBS program to offer the 6’7″, 260-pound prospect, and on Tuesday the University of Virginia extended an offer as well.

“He got an offer from JMU this summer, when he went to camp in July.  Virginia Tech offered a week ago.  [On Tuesday], UVa offered him,” Warhill head coach Billy Jarvis said, providing the latest on Osterloh’s recruitment.  “Those are the three offers right now.  He went to camp at Virginia Tech, and two weeks later he went up to Charlottesville for UVa’s one-day camp.  He competed really well against kids from other schools.  I know there were kids from the AAA level at the UVa camp, and he competed really well.  He went against kids from Hermitage and Varina and played well.”

Osterloh plans to attend junior day events at Virginia Tech (February 18) and Virginia (February 25) later this month.  According to his coach, there is no clear favorite prior to these visits.

“Right now I think everything is wide open,” Jarvis said.  “He’s taking a look at everything.  He has an idea of what he wants to major in.  Academics are very, very important.  He has an interest in veterinary medicine.  He and his parents, they are in the evaluation stage.  A lot has happened in a short period of time.”
