Hodges Gaining Major Interest

Bucky Hodges ‘ recruitment could be about to take off. Hodges, a 6’6″, 215-pound junior quarterback prospect out of Salem High School (Virginia Beach, VA), already boasts five major FBS offers and is now drawing interest on a national scale.

Recently, Hodges has spoken over the phone with an assistant at Ohio State, which of course is now guided by head coach Urban Meyer. In addition to the Buckeyes, he lists Oklahoma State, Oregon and Texas as those programs starting to show serious interest.

“I like what they are doing there,” Hodges said of Ohio State. “I’ve talked to a coach there. We’re building a relationship right now.”

Connecticut, East Carolina, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Virginia Tech are the five major FBS programs that have offered so far. The standout signal caller has spoken highly of both FBS in-state schools in the past. In particular Virginia Tech, a school widely thought to be at or near the top of Hodges’ list. In this article, though, Hodges claims no in-state favorite and no favorite in general.
