Liberty’s Teller Reaches 10 Offers

Wyatt Teller grew up dreaming of playing varsity football at Liberty High School (Bealeton, VA). He burst onto Tommy Buzzo’s squad as a sophomore, earning first-team all-Region II honors for his play at defensive end. By the start of the 2011 season, five major FBS schools had offered the 6’5″, 255-pound prospect, and since that time five more have come through.

“I’m being looked at for offensive tackle and defensive end,” Teller said. “There are teams looking at me for both. Defensive end is the main drawing point, but a few schools want film of me at tackle.”

Nine of the 10 schools that have offered are pursuing Teller as a defensive lineman. They are: Boston College, Duke, Maryland, N.C. State, Penn State, Rutgers, Tennessee, Virginia and Virginia Tech. South Carolina has offered him as an offensive tackle.

The Liberty junior has attended games at Penn State, Virginia and Virginia Tech. He has met Tech head coach Frank Beamer and Cavaliers head coach Mike London.
