Coleman All Set For Early Enrollment

J.C. Coleman capped off an outstanding high school career with a state championship last Saturday. The Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA) speedster won’t have to wait long to start college life, as he is all set to enroll at Virginia Tech next month.

“He’ll finish with us in the next couple of weeks. “He’s going to head to Virginia Tech in January,” Oscar Smith head coach Richard Morgan said of Coleman.

An excellent student, Coleman carries a 3.7 GPA. Morgan isn’t sure when the talented running back decided to graduate early, but he knows it will help in getting a head start in adjusting to major college football.

“Academically, he was already where he needed to be. He thought, ‘I have a 3.7 GPA. I’ve got all my classes in, so why not get jumpstarted early?’,” Morgan said. “It’ll give him an advantage over the other freshmen coming in.”
