Stephenson (Stone Mountain, GA) rising senior Jarontay Jones has visited Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt so far. The 6-3, 240-pound defensive end, who has been offered by all of those schools and more (he has over 30 offers), will begin his next round of visits in early June. First up is Virginia Tech.

Jones will be in Blacksburg on June 4, Virginia Tech’s first one-day camp of 2011.

“I’m not competing. I’m just going up there to talk to the coaches and look at the campus,” said Jones, who plans to arrive on Friday (June 3).

Virginia Tech’s defensive success is one reason why the 2010 5A first-team all-state selection wants to make the trip up to Blacksburg next month.
