VT Heads To Pennsylvania For Latest Commit

Virginia Tech football’s recruiting roll continued Monday, when Downingtown East (Exton, PA) offensive tackle Jack Willenbrock verbally committed to the Hokies. The 6-4, 250-pound junior is Tech’s first offensive line recruit of the class, which now consists of 11 players.

Via e-mail, Pete Willenbrock confirmed Jack’s commitment.

Willenbrock, an Honorable Mention Ches-Mont League All-National Division selection in 2010, helps pave the way for star DEHS rusher Drew Harris. Harris, also a junior, rushed for over 2,000 yards as a sophomore and over 1,900 yards as a junior. He has earned over 20 FBS offers including one from Virginia Tech.

Willenbrock starts at left offensive tackle in high school but likely projects as an interior lineman at Virginia Tech.
