Kempsville (Virginia Beach, VA) linebacker Travis Hughes has settled on December 18 as the date when he will announce his college choice. A few visits, including one more official visit, remain before that time comes. Does the 6-1, 215-pound senior have an idea right now of which school he will choose?
“I keep getting ideas, but then they keep getting crushed every week,” Hughes said with a laugh. “It will be a really wild process.”
Clemson, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia and Virginia Tech are the finalists, and all “legitimately have a chance,” Hughes said.
In order, Hughes has taken official visits to Maryland, Virginia Tech, North Carolina and Virginia. The fifth and final official will be to Clemson on the weekend of November 27. He made an unofficial visit to UVa last Saturday and will go to Maryland this weekend for the game against Florida State.
