Tech-Duke to Kickoff at Noon

The Virginia Tech-Duke kickoff time has been announced. The Hokies and Blue
Devils will kickoff at noon, and the game will be televised by The ACC Network.

Tech is 4-2 on the season, after Saturday’s 45-21 win over Central Michigan.
They have won four consecutive games. The Hokies are 6-0 against Duke since
joining the ACC, and they’ve won those six games by an average of 25.5 points
per game.

Duke is struggling this year. The Blue Devils are off to a 1-4 start, losing
their last four games. They opened the year with a 41-27 victory over 1-AA Elon.
They lost to Wake Forest (54-48), Alabama (62-13), Army (35-21) and Maryland
(21-16). In general, they have been decent offensively, but haven’t been able to
stop anyone.

Bruce Taylor Honored by the ACC

Virginia Tech mike linebacker Bruce Taylor has been named ACC Co-Defensive
lineman of the week for his performance against Central Michigan on Saturday.
The r-sophomore finished the game with 13 tackles, including two tackles for
loss, as well as a pass breakup.

He shared the award with North Carolina linebacker Kevin Reddick.

Taylor is ninth nationally and third in the ACC in tackles per loss per game.
He is sixth in the ACC in tackles.
