Virginia Tech tailback Ryan Williams will miss Saturday’s Boston College game
due to a hamstring injury suffered in last weekend’s 49-27 win against East
Carolina.

Williams injured his hamstring in the second quarter, was helped to the
dressing room, and was in street clothes for the remainder of the game. David
Wilson (12 carrries, 89 yards, 2 touchdowns) and Darren Evans (10 carries, 91
yards, 1 touchdown) did an excellent job in Williams’ absence.

Last season against Boston College, Williams ran for 159 yards and a
touchdown on just 18 carries. He also caught a pass for 23 yards. His status for
the NC State game is unknown at this point.
