Hokies Ranked #13 in Both Polls

Both the AP Poll and the USA Today Coaches’ Poll were released on Tuesday
afternoon, and the Hokies are ranked #13 in both polls in the wake of their
33-30 loss at the hands of Boise State.

Tech dropped from #10 to #13 in the AP Poll, and from #6 to #13 in the
Coaches’ Poll. Boise State now has eight first place votes in the AP, remaining
#3 in the standings. The Broncos jumped from #5 to #3 in the Coaches’ Poll,
though they have no first place votes.

Virginia Tech is one of four ACC teams ranked in the Top 25.

It will be a big weekend for two of those teams. Miami travels to #2 Ohio
State on Saturday, while Florida State will play at #10 Oklahoma. A victory in
one or both of those games could mean a lot for the ACC.

Virginia Tech will take on James Madison on Saturday at 1:30pm. The game will
be available on the internet at ESPN3.com. James Madison is ranked #12 in the
country in the 1-AA poll, and are one of the top programs in the nation in 1-AA
football.
