Manchester (Midlothian, VA) offensive lineman Jake Goins did indeed visit Virginia Tech and Virginia this week. All that remains now is for the 6-5, 285-pound rising senior standout to make a commitment. Goins, a first-team all-Dominion district selection last season as a junior, is considering a final three of Maryland, UVa and Tech.
“Those three schools are the final ones. I guess I’m looking more in-state, but Maryland is not gone. It is still in there,” Goins said.
Asked if one school is emerging, Goins answered, “I feel like I am leaning one way a bit. I’ll probably decide sooner than later.”
