UCLA has become the latest school to offer Owings Mills (MD) top offensive tackle prospect Donovan Smith , who boasts 12 written scholarship offers in total. Cincinnati, Connecticut, Duke, Illinois, Maryland, Penn State, Pitt, Rutgers, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia have also offered the 6-6, 275-pound junior, who has visited Maryland, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Virginia and Virginia Tech.

Did any of the visits stand out over the others?

“Each of the schools has something different that stands out,” Smith said. “One school has a better weight room and another has a better academic center and things like that. Overall, facility-wise, so far Penn State has caught my eye. I could see myself there. Also Rutgers has a nice facility as well as Virginia Tech and Virginia and Maryland.”

Smith says he could see himself at “all” of the schools he has visited so far. He doesn’t plan to start to get deep into the decision-making process until later in the summer or early fall.
