Harrisonburg (VA) offensive tackle Landon Turner wanted to give the University of Virginia another look after Mike London took over as Cavaliers head coach. The 6-5, 300-pound junior attended UVa’s Spring Football Festival this past Saturday, giving Virginia’s football program that second look.

“I wanted to kind of see what the deal was with Coach London and learn more about them,” the Group AA first-team all-state selection said. “I knew about Virginia and how it is there, but as far as the atmosphere with the new coaching staff I wanted to learn more.”

Was Virginia able to make a push in this race?

“It’s still a little early. Virginia is still not in my top five, but I did like it a lot,” Turner said.
