Star CB Reschedules Tech Visit, Talks Offers

Top cornerback prospect Adeboye Aromire was unable to attend Virginia Tech’s junior day on Saturday, but he now plans to visit the second weekend in March. Virginia Tech was the first school to show serious interest in the H.D. Woodson (Washington, D.C.) junior, who received an official offer from the Hokies in January.

“My sophomore year, a lot of our players were getting attention recruiting-wise,” Aromire said. “I played on the varsity that year but never got any attention. Coming into my junior year, I met coach Sherman. He really was the first coach to contact me. I met him at school when he came to recruit Ricardo [Young]. We clicked from when we first met. I’ve since talked to the defensive coordinator and the defensive backs coach. They all make me feel at home. I’ve talked to coach Beamer on the phone. He said he liked my abilities. The defense there calls for versatile defensive backs and I feel like I can do it all. I feel like it would be a good fit for me. Ricardo speaks a lot about Virginia Tech. There is prestige there. I really have built a strong liking for Virginia Tech.”

Maryland has also officially offered and the 6-0, 180-pound prospect is interested in the Terrapins program.

“As far as Maryland goes, I always wanted to be a Terp growing up,” Aromire said. “I wanted to be the hometown hero and be able to play in front of my brothers, sisters and cousins. I always felt I would commit as soon as Maryland offered, but as you grow up you analyze everything.”
