Ricardo Young ‘s recruiting card
Ricardo Young ‘s stellar high school football career ended on a good note last month, when the 6-0, 170-pound senior signal caller led H.D. Woodson (Washington, D.C.) to its second consecutive DCIAA Turkey Bowl Championship. For the season, Young, who will head off to Virginia Tech in a month, passed for 2,459 yards and 24 touchdowns and added 650 yards rushing and eight scores.
“It’s a great feeling to go out on top,” said Young, who had a 98-yard touchdown run and three touchdown passes in the 30-26 championship victory over Ballou. “It’s great to know all the hard work you put in paid off. I’m ready to advance my game to the next level.”
A 3-year starter on the varsity level, Young has been pleased with his development and also with the success he has helped H.D. Woodson achieve.
