Lewis Reschedules VT Visit

Bishop Kearney (Rochester, N.Y.) tight end/defensive end Jerome Lewis will not be in Blacksburg this weekend as previously planned, but the 6-4, 230-pound Tech recruit has scheduled an official visit. Lewis, who has yet to visit the school he committed to in May, will be in Blacksburg for the first time ever next month.

“I have a date set and I’ve got a plane ticket,” Lewis said. “I’m going to make an official visit on December 12th. My birthday is December 10th, so I’ll be going down my birthday week.”

Lewis will head further south in January to play in the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He’ll play alongside two future Virginia Tech teammates, defensive end Zack McCray and offensive lineman Caleb Farris.

“I’m looking forward to [playing in the All-American game] a lot,” Lewis said. “A lot of people tell me how underrated I am. I want to show what I can do and I’ll be playing against some of the top kids in the nation. I’ll love lining up next to Caleb.”
